"Haus August" is located in Bad Gastein, Salzburger Land. It was built in the early 20th century by the daughter of a local Grand hotel owner and fully renovated in 2017. Each of the 3 apartments has been renovated to be comfortable and respecting its history yet is fresh and uncluttered... Rooms are furnished with locally sourced vintage & design furniture. All apartments look onto the breath-taking Gastein valley and have all got their own terrace, making it the perfect holiday destination for couples, families, and friends looking for a mountainside retreat.

We became host because we fell in love with one of the most beautiful places in the world, Bad Gastein and the incredible view of our house.

A town once known for its upper-class style & sophisticated Belle-Époque Grand hotels, it is now a town full of contrasts. On the one hand, the old health resort diva is met by the 60´s space-age architecture by Gerhard Garstenauer and the other hand there is a morbid charm surrounding the former glamour. These days Bad Gastein has to offer a spectacular mountain panorama, a romantic waterfall running through the city center, crystal clear mountain air, healing water springs, amazing ski and hiking opportunities. Through its unusual setting far away from cheap mass-tourism, it has become a haven for creatives from all over the world. Haus August is located 5 min by car from the train station, 50 meters to the public ski bus station and 200 m to Graukogel ski lift with a private road and parking directly at the house
