What makes our apartment unique? Only 200 meters walking distance to the ski lift connecting to 160 km of slopes. Spacious balcony (26 sqm) with sunshine the whole day and a gorgeous view over several mountain tops reaching over 2000 m. Direct access to several panorama hiking trails and cross-country tracks. Newly renovated interior with high quality beds and fully equipped and completely new ((2020) kitchen. Access to personal ski storage in the basement. The property and its excellent location provide the best possible starting point for an unforgettable vacation with active, outdoor adventures and cultural exploration in the Salzkammergut area. Very near to top location for culture like Hallstatt, Bad Ischl and only 60 km to Salzburg.

My wife and I live in Austria since 2017 after more than 10 years in Germany. We visited the village of Gosau in February 2018 and fell in love with the place and its beautiful surroundings. We feel very lucky to have our apartment in Gosau and go there on a regular basis. We are an easy-going Swedish family who enjoy traveling and exploring new places. Our two children are both grown up and are studying in Sweden. We love to go skiing, hiking and exploring in the Dachstein-West area and think it's an amazing place for outdoor activities. We have a miniature schnauzer who always joins us. We also like to learn about tradition and culture and in the Salzkammergut area there are plenty of opportunities to do just that!

Gosau is a beautiful little village itself with the impressive Gosaukamm at the end of the village. Although it is rural it is not more than 1h to Salzburg or 2h to Munich. Fantastic places to visit very close (within 40 min) are Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, Obertraun and Gmunden. The Gosausee is less than 10 min away by car. You will find all you need in Gosau and there are more than 10 restaurants in the village. A cosy cafe is open all days a week just across the street. Gosau is excellent for walkers, mountain bikers, skiers but also for advanced mountain climbers.
