Wiener Zuhause is pri­vately owned and likes to welcome you like a friend when you come to Vienna. It’s a 50m2 flat, which is far-​far big­ger than a reg­u­lar hotel room. The apart­ment is fin­ished with mod­ern fur­ni­ture, TV, free Wi-​Fi, dish­washer, Nespresso coffee-​machine, toaster and much more that you might need and also sth. that you didn’t know that you need, but you’ll be pleas­antly sur­prised to find it here. ;) F.e., there is a souvenir-​box – artis­tic and authen­tic, filled by your hostess with care­fully cho­sen lit­tle things made by local artists and design­ers. Fur­ther­more, there are pic­tures of young local artists in the apartment, which, if you wish, you could take from the wall, pay and pack it in your suit­case as you leave. There are city-​plans and book­lets made for you by Nina that includes her very per­sonal tips on wine-​dine-​shop, bars, restaurants, shops and not so well knwon sights in the dis­trict, like the 100 year old cinema Filmcasino which offers off-mainstream films. At the end of the day you might want to enjoy a quiet evening at the nicely decorated bal­cony with a glass of Aus­trian wine, which you’ll also find in the apart­ment.

Margareten is an old district very close to the famous Naschmarkt and only 10 minutes walk to the old inner city. In recent years, Margareten has developed into one of the hottest and most vibrant areas of the city, mainly because of its gastronomy: old Viennese cooking meets modern cuisine, but you can also discover the shops of young designers and artists who have settled here lately. Margareten is very well known for its popular restaurants like those in the Biedermeier buildings around Margaretenplatz - the various guest gardens are hidden away in the courtyards of the Schlossquadrat. There we recommend the CAFE CUADRO where you can spend hours of hours in the garden in summer. The best Wiener Schnitzel in town you will find at the very authentic Viennese inn, the HAAS BEISL. If you like international and innovative food then try restaurant ON in Wehrgasse. They run a mixture of Asian and Austrian kitchen – sounds crazy but tastes great. The VOLLPENSION looks like the living room of an Austrian gandmother - only much cooler! The vintage furniture creates a cosy &hip atmosphere.
